Survey responses
so far confirm that the Equinox in Manchester is the place to be!
Surrounded by stunning mountains, the luxury
resort definitely delivered in the quality department for our 140th
Annual Meeting. The food was excellent,
the rooms were luxurious, and the atmosphere was awesome. If you weren’t there,
just try to keep your envy in check for this blawg installment!
With an
overarching wellness theme, the event was full of wellness CLE’s and activities
like Mindfulness, yoga, life coaching, depression awareness and hiking
options. We even had a massage chair and
therapist at the ready for 4 hours on Friday, brought to our attendees by the
VBA and Pinnacle Financial! The massage
therapist from the Thrive Center of the Green Mountains was extremely busy with
literal back-to-back, back massages
all afternoon!
From our
Ethics Reception on Thursday right through to 5pm on Friday, the CLE line-up
was well attended, fun and informative. Missed out? Don’t worry. Our videographer was there to make sure our
online digital library stays fresh. Digital recordings of many of the programs
will be available soon.
Special
thanks to all of our sponsors and exhibitors, our extremely generous and knowledgeable
presenters and of course all of the attendees who made the event THE place to
be for networking. Congratulations also
to our newly ‘crowned’ Emeritus members Joe Bauer, Frank Kochman and Robert
Farrar (not pictured) and to our VBA President’s awards and service awards recipients: Lisa
Maxfield, Andy Mikel, Jim Knapp and Robert Pratt (and Kurt Hughes and Susan
Murray not pictured).
Enjoy all
the smiles and camaraderie shining through in this blawg’s Annual Meeting in
Pictures, with the cuteness award going to Baxter Cassidy, who despite lacking
opposable thumbs is a renowned photographer, baker, counselor and scholar.
Great venue. Great meeting. Becky, Baxter and I enjoyed it!
